Longitude Festival Nails!

I had the best weekend at the Longitude Festival in Marley Park!! What a great festival, so many stages, blazing sun, great bands and great friends, what more could you ask for! So in the excitement of a festival weekend I just had to do some fun nails to match! Some of the more intricate designs I've had a go at, I love the drippy one and the diamond. I was a little disappointed with my holographic polish from boots 17 brand but I'll give it another go maybe without a silver undercoat and see how that goes! Can't wait for this festival again next year! :D

Nudey Leopard!

I found this gorgeous nude colour called 'nerd' in H&M the other day, I'm loving their polishes at the moment, they're so cheap! But pretty good quality too :) I've been dying to try out a nude leopard print so here was my chance! Did a quick cut and file first, I think I'm finally getting the hang of filing my nails into a nice shape :) I just love the colour of the nude on its own, if like me you have kind of sallow skin thus is a great colour to compliment it! I used my nail art pens for the leopard print and a gold opi crackle that I forgot I had for a little bit of sparkle :)

Happy 4th of July!!!

Of course with the week that's in it I had to do some American themed nails! And at the same time I got to try out taping off sections of nail which I haven't tried before, it's quite tricky!! I also got a chance to try my new super glittery nail polish from H&M, I just love it! It's sooo sparkley! :) I got a little pack of nail decorations in H&M too, they were a bit expensive but I was getting bored of the gems I have n thought I'd treat myself ;) and there were little silver stars in it which I really needed for these nails, sure it just wouldn't be the same without proper start!

Ombré Sunset Nails

I was driving home from my friends house out in the countryside the other evening when I was struck by the most amazing sunset I've ever seen!! Powder blue and electric pink it was just wow! Unfortunately I was driving so I couldn't take a picture of it, not that it would have done it any justice any way, so instead I took inspiration from it and put it on my nails :) I looove them, so summery on this dull Irish summer day!

Wimbledon Designs

So with Wimbledon fever in the air and living next door to a tennis club and having a tennis fanatic dad, I thought I'd have a go at some nail art designs for a Wimbledon/tennis theme! I can't wait to see what they look like on nails, just have to find a volunteer now! :) I'll have pics up of these done soon hopefully!

Crips v Bloods

I got some inspiration from my new favourite shorts that I got in Forever21 in LA. I just loooove bandana print and went the extra step and did my hands blue versus red! This is the most intricate design I've done so far and it didn't turn out half bad :) left hand was a bit dodgey but I'm still really happy with it :) I used NYC red and blue, silver by stargazer and nail art pens from penny's yet again!

The Lion King

So my parents got me the best Christmas present....tickets to see the Lion King musical in the Bord Gais Theatre!! And on Friday my mom and I headed off to see it. Spectacular is a total understatement, in the opening scene they brought an elephant through the audience an up into the stage!! Pretty amazing! But of course with the excitement leading up to the show I had to do my nails in a lion king theme :) it also gave me a great excuse to have a go at ombré nails to make a pretty savannah sunrise colour. Surprisingly doing ombré nails wasn't too difficult, bitta sponge, plastic and a toothpick and you're set :) I also tried out drawing on my nails for the first time with the nail art pens, that part was incredibly difficult but I was happy enough with the lion head I ended up with. I also added a little bit of sunshine with some gold glitter varnish :) I used yellow and orange from rimmel's 60sec range, gold glitter from essence in penny's and nail art black pen from penny's.

Monochrome Birthday Prezzie!

As a birthday present for my friend I had a go at doing some nail art on her nails. So this is my first attempt at doing someone else's nails! My hand was sooo shaky but some how managed to keep the lines fairly clean :) she was wearing a black and white dress and wanted a design to match so we went for spots and stripes with a bitta party bling ;) I looove the black nail with the gem cross! She was also delighted with them, although unfortunately being horsey girls, the gems didn't last much longer than a day! I used wet n wild black, white from salon services and nail art pens and gems from penny's.

Party Splatter

Party time Woooh!! It was my friends birthday 2weeks ago and I finally had a reason to wear my new bargain dress from penny's, it was only €7!! There are some nice little finds on those sale rails! So anyway I loved the colours in the dress so much I thought I'd try and do my nails to match. They didn't quite work out the way I wanted them but I was happy enough anyway :) I used pink and purple nail art pens from penny's, the glitter is Fergie's collection for wet n wild which I got in LA and the white is salon services! Unfortunately I'm very impatient when it comes to waiting for nails to dry which didn't help when I was using a toothpick on the pink and purple splats! I'll try again and maybe there will be an even better out come. It has given me the idea to have a go at a marble effect though!

Hot Leopard

So for my second go at nail art I went for my favourite animal print with my favourite colours, electric pink and gorgeous gold! I can't decide which hand I prefare but I think the gold base is a tiny bit prettier. I also added a little bit of bling to my ring finger with some pink gems around the cuticle line. The gold is from top shop and nail art pens are from penny's.

Electric Aztec

So here's my very first attempt at nail art!! I decided to have a go at the popular Aztec print as I've just come home from a trip in South America! I used electric pink which I bought in hot topic in LA, white from salon services and black and white nail art pens from penny's which are a bargain at €2.50 for a set of two, sure ye couldn't beat it! Oh and a little gem on my middle finger :)
